Electric – Electronic equipment
Numerous mechanical, electrical and electronical parts are necessary for the proper operation of the baghouse. They keep the baghouse working, remove the contained dust, help the detection of errors etc.
Each part described below is either originally manufactured or comes from well-known companies from all over the world.
Timer
Controls the operation of the jet pulse cleaning system. Regulates the time between two consecutive pulses, the duration of each pulse, as well as the opening order of the valves.
E/M Valve
Releases compressed air when instructed from the timer, creating a pulse that cleans the filter bag. Valves are available in many different diameters and are able to operate under various temperatures.
Monitors
Monitors are necessary parts for supervising your bag house. Every baghouse is equipped with temperature and deferential pressure monitors as well as particle emission monitors.
You will be able to ensure that your baghouse is doing its job!
Mechanical Equipment
Industrial Centrifugal Fans
Astrofil provides centrifugal fans for every application. Each and every fan is exclusively manufactured in Greece.
Fan Types
Type M Fans: They can supply from 2.000 m3/h up to 250.000 m3/h of air and produce static pressure up to 4.000Pa. These fans have swept – back flat flaps, with regular or aerodynamic design and they are best fit for clean air.
Type H Fans: They can supply from 1.200 m3/h up to 100.000 m3/h of air and produce static pressure up to 6.500Pa. These fans have radially arranged flat flaps and they are used when there is high concentration of dust in the air, or even for pneumatic transfer of bulk materials.
Type HA Fans: They can supply from 200 m3/h up to 20.000 m3/h of air and produce static pressure up to 16.000Pa. These fans have swept – back curved flaps, with regular or aerodynamic design and they are best fit for clean air.
Type HAL Fans: They can supply from 1.000 m3/h up to 200.000 m3/h of air and produce static pressure up to 10.000Pa. These fans have swept – back flat flaps, with regular or aerodynamic design and can be used when there is high concentration of dust in the air.
Type O Fans-Blowers: They can supply from από 80 m3/h up to 36.000 m3/h of air and produce static pressure up to 16.000Pa or up to 50.000Pa for multistage machines. Best fit for clean air.
Our fans are manufactured for every type of joints and are belt driven. If required we are able to manufacture fans able to handle air at 900oC. We manufacture our fans from steel, INOX steel, or steel with anti-abrasive properties.
Compressed air system

Tanks, distribution pipes and joints are needed for the jet pulse cleaning system.
This system is responsible for keeping the filter bags in clean of the contained dust, making that way possible the continuous filtration of an inlet flow.
Our tanks are tested under 15 bar pressure for maximum safety and can be manufactured to be split and removable. Each and every tank carries draining valves and supply valves. Besides, they are carefully manufactured for perfect fitting of the valves and zero losses of compressed air.
Bulkhead connectors are used, when assembling the compressed air system, for easy replacement of broken parts and easy maintenance.
Every part is provided from well-known manufacturers that ensure the reliability of their products, thus the safe and consistent cleaning of your baghouse.
Airlocks
Airlock is responsible for removing the contained dust, without letting any environmental air into the system, keeping your baghouse isolated and protected from humidity etc.
Airlocks are widely used in pneumatic conveying systems, de-dusting systems as well as dosing machines for bulk materials. They provide full airtightness keeping air and moisture away from the contained dust, ash or any other material you want to transfer, preventing, that way, your load, to form inert regions.
All of our airlocks have flanges with threads for easy installation as well as, specially treated surfaces for next to zero gaps when assembled.
Each airlock carries rotor, capable οf moving large quantities, hoppers both at entrance and exit and square flanges according to DIN specifications for easier loading and unloading as well as eight flaps for best sealing and maximum capacity.
Last but not least, our airlocks are made from cast iron and may have special heat-resistant or anti-abrasive treatments.
Screw conveyors
Final stage of de-dusting process is the collection and removal of the contained dust from the baghouse.
Both open and closed type screw conveyors are common solutions for handling bulk material. In baghouses, screw conveyor is used before or right after the airlock and transfers the contained dust away from your installation. Screw conveyors are used in a wide spectrum of applications for conveying materials, varying from grain to pellet and from cement to ash. They are able to handle small to very big loads. They are available in every type of steel and INOX steel for special applications.
